Guy Lies About Biggest Fear On Game Show, Ends Up Winning Car

This guy went on a game show, which decided to put its contestants through the rounder when it came to confronting their biggest fears. As it turns out, he wasn't completely honest about his biggest fear. He said it was something to do with creepy crawlers, and ended up walking through a room filled with cockroaches. 

Alright, that sounds pretty terrifying to me. Regardless, it wasn't his biggest fear. He ends up winning the game show, and with that victory, a car. Sounds like his family was a little split on whether or not that was a genuine victory, or if he's a jerk for lying about his biggest fear. I'm thinking the dude walked through a room of cockroaches and absolutely deserves a car.

    Text - I thought of a believable lie before I entered the show (we had to list 5 things we were afraid of) and I put down all the things I'm not scared of. I listed spiders, cockroaches, snakes, scorpions, and wood lice. I literally couldn't care less about any of these creatures.     Text - I told my family this recently on a drunken night when we were all at a get together, and although everybody found it uproariously funny, my family are split into 2 camps- some people think I cheated and was ethically and morally wrong, and other people think the other contestants deserved to lose if they listed their actual fears. I'm obviously in the latter category, but genuinely wondering what others think.

But one could also argue you were just being crafty and playing to win.     Text - xWolf 10h NAH I am highly inclined towards saying YTA because I agree that it's cheating and morally questionable but it's a reality show and you were told to list your fears KNOWING full well what they would do with that information. That is a very flimsy setup at best and I don't doubt a lot of people provide false information too in that sense. You knew the game was being in a room with something you're afraid of, and you told them things you aren't afraid of. You gave yourself an advantage over the other contestants. But it's been a few years, so i dont know what being mad about it is going to do, but people can still judge your character for it.
